Remember to water very often. Eggplants, both hybrid and heirloom, are generally regarded as a tender plant, so remember to wait until your soil is warm and the night time temperature is well above freezing before moving outside.

Seed collection




When fruits drop from the vine on their own, the seeds are ready to harvest. Scoop out seeds and place in bowl of water for several days to separate seeds from pulp. Dry seeds and store in a cool dark place.
